Nail Trimming

If using a dremel on a big dog, it is recommended to use 1/2" by 1/2" sanding bands on the 1/2" sanding drum mandrel. This info is from the www.Doberdawn.com   then click on How To Dremel Dog Nails

Doberdawn.com has a really great website that gives step by step instructions on trimming dogs nails using a dremel.

The only thing I would add to that is to get an EZ Pro nail guard for the dremel. here is a picture of the EZ Pro. The dogs nail fits in the hole. there is a big hole on one side and a smaller hole on the other side.

The EZ Pro is available at Rumbo Pet supplies.

Another possibility is to teach your dog to file his own nails.
